While playing 7 Days to Die last night, Alena's laptop crashed and wouldn't start again. Today I went to her apartment on a tech support call to try and fix it and pet her cat.

After poking around for a bit, I came to the conclusion that the hard-drive was misbehaving, so we decided to take it to best buy to have the tech people there take a look at it. We also discussed the possibility of just buying a desktop computer, which is something she has been  considering for awhile.

At best buy, while waiting for our support appointment, we found a pre-built desktop computer that seemed like a pretty good deal, as well as a large number of dirt cheap TVs.

For the laptop, we were convinced to sign up for the yearly support plan, which would also cover any other stuff we got at best buy. As such, we also decided to go ahead and get the desktop computer.

After dropping off the computer at Alena's apartment, we went to a mexican resteraunt for a celebratory meal.

After eating, we headed back to set up the fancy new tech and pet the cat.

While we were trying to decided the name for the computer (very important), I mentioned that my computers were named Hal and Glados, so we started thinking of other named computers in fiction. We thought of Deep Thought from The HItchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Alena had the brillient idea to change it to Deep Thot.

This is the culmination of 100 years of human innovation.
