We got up early to go to our 9am reservation at the Blue Lagoon. We had packed must of our stuff then night before, and even put some stuff in the car in preparation, so all we had to do was equip our clothes and drop off the key.
The car was fully charged, and we were ready to fully experience the blue before our flight in the evening.

The pool was just as relaxing as I remember from last time, and was the perfect thing to rest our weary bones before our flight.
There was a swim up bar where we got to try some green smoothie thing.
Jackson tried out a couple of the face masks that were being offered,
There were storm clouds all around, but the rain avoided us for the must part. However, we did get to see a really nice rainbow from the lagoon.
When we left, it had started to rain a bit. We took one last opportunity to take some pictures around the place.

On the way to the airport, we stopped for lunch at a small burger place called Stapagrill in Njardvik. I got a burger called "The tower" which had egg on it.

It was a 10 minute drive to the airport, where we dropped off the rental car, then got on a bus to the terminal. At the terminal, we learned that our flight had been delayed, so we found a place to sit and pass the time.

Wally learned that you could airdrop files to any apple phone in the vicinity, so he had a good time sending weird meme images to random people.
We headed to a grocery shop thing to get some dinner. This was also our last opportunity to spent the last of the Icelandic Krona we had.
I got a skyr parfait, a ham, cheese, and cranberry sandwich, and some chocolate licorice candy which we thought was the same as the candy we found in Reykjavík.

The candy turned out to not be the same, and was in fact awful. There was a weird powdery coating on it that was weirdly spicy, and tasted like dirt vomit.
Shortly after, we noticed that we had lost track of time and that our plane had started boarding. We scrambled to get to the gate, and when we arrived there was already a line down the entire concourse.
The line wasn't moving at all, and it become clear that something was wrong as the flight got delayed even more. Apparently the plane we were supposed to be boarding had also been delayed, so they had to redistribute us onto new plans. In order to get us to the plane, they were having us board a bus that would then take us to the plane where we would board via stairs.

The plane being smaller also mean't that there was far less space for overhead baggage, and I had to stop my bag halfway up the plane, nowhere near where I was sitting.
But at least we were on a plane, and they were hoping to get us in to boston only an hour after our scheduled arrival time.
We saw that they had the last of the star wars sequel movies (aka the worst one) on the in flight entertainment system, so we decided to hate watch it together to pass the time, especially since we had been joking about watching it several times during the trip.
It was indeed just as bad as I remember, and we spent a good 2 hours after the movie was over analytically trashing it. It was a good time.

We arrived in boston and made our way through customs and to our hotel. We also managed to skip the checked bag security check, which gave Wally the energy to get to the hotel room. He is powered by crime.

The room was a double queen room, and they would not give us a roll away because apparently it was a fire hazard.

Wally had a really funny interaction with Siri (apple phone assistant)
We lost our minds laughing for awhile at the prospect of our imminent demise, and at the implication that Siri was able to just casually launch a missile at our request.
