After 3 days of intense blizzard conditions, it was time to venture out to the parents house for Christmas. The snow wasn't super deep, and the wind had mostly calmed, but it was still better cold.

Still, I've had to dig out worse.

After a harrowing drive that didn't exceed 20 mph, I arrived at the parents house.

Everyone was already there, so after catching up, we proceeded to unwrap presents. I had though we were only getting presents for Clark this year, so for me, getting anything was a surprise.

I got the world smallest violin from Jessica, which had capacitive wires that let you play it like an electric violin (with low accuracy) . She also got me the Trash Pandas board game, which simualtes dumster diving.

From the michal grandparents, I got a picture painted by Keith. He painted a series of abstract images depicting the autumn leaves, and gave one to every grandchild.

From Mom, I got a blanket with a picture I took in the Katla Ice Cave, while in Iceland. Very cool.

Jessica got a plush of the Kent State University mascot, Flash the eagle. It was apparently very hard to find, since most people treat black squirrels as the mascot.

Bonus dog

For brunch, we had homemade quiche, dill dip with carrots, and monkey bread. Very tasty.

Afterward we played christmas trivia, with Jessica. We also ate some of the special cookies dad decorated.

Unique, but tasty

I also purchased the Kessoku Band album, which had just released since the Bocchi the Rock anime had finished airing recently. Why does the music in this show slap so damn hard?
