Several years in the making, the sequel you've all been waiting for! My glorious return to Japan is finally underway!

This time I will be traveling with Jackson, Walter, and several other friends from the Love Live server that I have not met in person before. We have talked a lot on discord though, so I know we all get along well.

The Destination

We will be staying in a dorm house in Tokyo; kind of like a hostel, but we have the entire place for ourselves. split 7 ways, it was surprisingly reasonable, especially for a 2 week stay.

It's located east of central Tokyo, and a ~10 minute walk from 2 transit stations.

On the day of our departure, Alena dropped me off at the airport, and as I was checking in my bag at the kiosk outside, I met up with Wally and Michael. Good timing, team!

Once our bags were checked, we got in line for security. Due to our previous decision to shell out for TSA Pre, Michael and I got through security in ~3 minutes. Wally, on the other hand had to wait in the line that stretched basically the length of the lobby.

TSA Pre is an absolute scam, and I will be getting it every single time I fly anywhere from now on.

Jackson also arrived shortly after, but unfortunately lost the queuing roulette. While Wally made it to our gate a few minutes before boarding started, Jackson was not able to get through in time, and ended up missing the flight, getting through security right as boarding finished and the doors were closed.

He was able to get a different flight, and made it to Japan not long after us, but that's a story for him to tell.

As for us; we boarded the plane, and settled in for a short 3 hour flight to Houston.

The sunrise was beautiful

We arrived in Huston, and after going through international security, we met up with Tyler and Phil.

While we were waiting for our next flight, I ordered the most expensive steak and eggs of my life, and once it arrived it was basically school cafeteria quality. Yummers.

After a few hours we boarded the beeeg plane, and settled in for a short 13 hour flight to Japan!
