This show was the surprise hit of the season for me. Also,  judging by the number of youtube video essays, a lot of others as well.

Overall, the show had incredibly high production value, both in the creative use of mixed media animation, and the in the quality and variety of the music itself. The show is about a band, and they actually created a full album's worth of music to use in the show, with fully animated performances of several songs.

The show is follows Hitori Gotoh, and her quest to overcome her crippling social anxiety and join a band. She manages to get roped into joining a band, but she might need another minute on the social anxiety. Still, she does manage to make a lot of progress towards overcoming her constant fear of others and personal failure.

A comfy CGDCT show about DIY projects. The Home Improvement of Anime, if you will. What's not to like?

While I would have been happy with another standard show about cute girls doing a hobby, this show had a lot of interesting world building on top of it, taking place in a near future setting where the charm of hand built things has been somewhat overshadowed by state of the art tech; almost like some kind of social commentary.

The show also had a really interesting art style.
