I watched the first sunrise of the year with Alena over Chippewa Lake, which is a common way to celebrate the new year in Japan.
Mom and Dad came too, but stayed in the car.
It was really interesting hearing the noises the ice made as it cracked, and echoed through the ground.
Also, there were large amount of geese that absolutely lost their minds every time the ice cracked, it was really funny (and loud).
Also, cat was being cute when we got home.
