For the 4th of July, I went to visit Mom, who was alone at home while dad was away on a cruise. In Medina square, they would be having their annual parade consisting of various trucks honking and generally making a ruckus, so the plan was to sit outside and listen to the secondhand noise pollution, while eating burgers.

Later, I showed mom Die Harmonie der Welt Symphonie, by Paul Hindemith, and then we listened to Concerto for Orchestra by Lutoslawski while talking about music theory and the underlying structure of classical music.
