I made a lot of progress on Debris Field. I re-wrote the level generation logic to be chunk based, to allow for dynamically loading the level in pieces as you move around, instead of trying to load it all at once. I also had to rewrite some parts of the map icon generation to account for this, to prevent the icons from being unloaded, but the end result is much more efficient.
I also watched more Slow Loop and Hidamari Sketch with Xill. She is enjoying Hidamari Sketch so far, but it has a lot of fast cuts and nonsensical editing, which makes it kind of difficult for Xill to follow, due to her vision problems.
While talking with Xill, I went on a bit of a nostalgia trip, and decided to try and track down some old photos from my old iPod touch, and possibly my old Razer phone, if I can find it. I’m pretty sure I still have it around somewhere. I found the iPod touch, but I need to find a cord for it.
I did find an old CD of Grandpa Michal’s photos, and imported some of them into my google photos account.
