We slept a lot better this time around. I spent most of the morning in seminars.

Seminar [Space music]
Sean Beeson, D.B. Cooper.

Ambient music, break the loop

Use unexpected pattern changes / key changes

Never direct repeat the same exact phrase more than 2-3 times, add slight changes

Hit emotional high in first 30 seconds, let the rest auto pilot

Breathe controller – simulate breath control for digital instruments
Omnisohere  – good ambient synth
Monster train – game to check out. D.B.Cooper did half of all of the voice acting for it.

Walley arrived in the late afternoon while I was still in the music seminar. After he got settled, we met up and went to the music portfolio feedback session together.

Seminar [Portfolio Feedback]
Sean Beeson, D.B. Cooper.

It was a bit of a struggle figuring out how to get everyone’s music on to the computer to actually play it, but we managed it. There was a kit who was showing his chiptune type tracks for the first time, and then Walley and I both showed some of our combinations.

Overall, the feedback was super positive, and it was really nice to hear Sean and Mrs. Cooper gush about my compositional style. Sean jokingly asked if I had any musicians in my family. (he was friends with Dad)

They wanted to hear my work with a greater variety of synths and sounds.

After the seminars, I met up with Walley to walk around.
