The first activity for today is going hiking on a glacier.

On the bus

On the way, we stopped by a picturesque farmhouse, and took some pictures, surprisingly.

We arrived at the embark point, and began getting our gear, as well as going over the plan. It was going to be a bit of a hike to get there, and once we were there it would be important to follow the guide exactly, to avoid the risk of falling into cracks and stuff.
While getting kitted up for the hike, I was able to become good friends with my glacier walking companions.
I also discovered that my boots were kind of falling apart, but I decided to risks it, and hope they held up.
As usual, the scenery during the hike was great.

All the black stuff is ash from a recent (in geological terms) volcanic eruption.
We got to drink from a glacier spring

On the way back, we stopped by a couple more waterfalls.
