Today, our beloved dog Roos ascended to the great dog park beyond the vale. She was old, and could no longer walk, so it was decided it was time to let her go. I drove over during my lunch break to giver her lots of pets.

When we first got her, she was wild. She had been living in the kennel for a long time, and had a ton of energy to give the world.

For awhile we didn't want to let her out on her own, since we weren't sure if she would be able to find her way back if she ran off, so we had to take her on dozens of walks a day.

Not long after we got her, I ended up house sitting for a weekend, and it ended up being too much for me, so I ended up putting her in the local dog hotel until everyone returned (which was a possibility we had discussed before). I felt bad, but it was probably for the best at the time.

In any case, she want on to be a great companion to us, and I think we were able to give her a good life as well.

Goodbye, Roos. You were a good dog.
