I spent the morning sleeping in, then got to work assembling the bookshelf I got from IKEA yesterday, to serve as my initial anime collection area.
I managed to cut myself just opening the box, but I persevered and got the initial box built.
The back is supposed to be nailed in place, but I didn't have a hammer, so I decided to use screws instead, which would be more secure anyway.
To get it to stay in place, it's supposed to be screwed into the wall, however I ended up using all of the screws I had to secure the back, so I ended up having to go to the store anyway to get more. While I was there, I grabbed a couple other things I will need later, like spackling paste, to cover up the old screw holes from the canvas prints previous position. I also found a long level + measuring stick, which will come in handy when hanging the other pictures in my room.
I also ordered some LED light bars, which I will add when they arrive. I ordered a 6 pack, but it seems like I will only end up using 1 or 2.
