At long last, it is time to embark on our second attempt at camping, this time at Kelley's Island State Park. This time, we (I) decided to stay for 2 nights, to give us more opportunities to explore during our stay.
On Friday, due to Jackson and Wally's Jobs, we were not able to leave until after 5pm, so I went shopping during the afternoon for various camp food. In addition to the classic hot dogs, I also grabbed some steak kebabs, and fish seasoning.

Due to the bulkiness of our stuff, Wally drove up on his own and I drove up with Jackson, since my car is smol.

We were originally planning on getting dinner before taking the ferry to the island, but we ended up running late so we had to get on the ferry immediately. By a stroke of luck, we both ended up getting on he same ferry, and were able to go over together.

The lake was super rough, and the ride over was pretty wild, but it was fun.

By this point, we decided to go ahead and set up our campsite, and have the kebabs for dinner. After a short drive, we arrived at the park, and managed to find our lot with the help of some friendly campers.
Setting up our tents in the dark and incredibly windy evening was quite difficult, but we managed well enough. The head mounted lamp that I got from REI several years ago came in incredibly handy.

After finding the bathroom in the dark (on the other side of the campground from us), we got started on dinner. To cook the kebabs, we just stuck them on the end of the hotdog sticks, and cooked them directly over the fire. It was really hard to tell when they were fully cooked, and some of it ended yp being undercooked, but I lived so it's fine.
Also, we had some great seasoning salt which really elevated the meat.
