We had a bit of a late start on the last day. We spent the morning packing up our tents, which was a lot easier when they are dry.

We went back to town to get breakfast, and it turned out the only restaurant open was the same one we ate at yesterday. After brunch, we returned to the campsite one last time, and then both drove over to the pebble beach area to do some swimming.

The beach was accurately named, and not particularly pleasant to walk on, so we ended up wearing our sandals into the water.

We were planning on showering at the marina, but we didn't notice until we went back that they were coin operated, so we had to walk into the convenience store, still dripping wet, in order to exchange some bills. It ended up being fine though, and we were able to shower without issue.

Jackson and I decided to go back into town one more time to get some famous Kelley's island fudge to eat on the way back. Unfortunately, the famous fudge store was closed, and according to the next door store clerk, probably closed for good. She did give us a lead to another place that sold fudge.

There was another winery that had advertised a butterfly house on Kelley's island that we had checked out yesterday, only to discover that the butterfly house was closed. However, they apparently also sold fudge, so we decided to give them another chance. They did indeed have some fudge for sale, but it was kind of weird outsider fudge. We got one of each: raspberry cheesecake, dark chocolate orange, and lemon, which Jackson found particularly offensive.

We returned to the ferry and got in line to return to the mainland.

we decided to stop somewhere on the mainland for dinner before parting ways.

The first place we stopped turned out to be closed, so we had to go a bit further for our second choice: the Jolly Rogers Seafood House.

It had a nice parting view of the lake, and some decent perch sandwiches, though I think the ones on the island were better. Jackson got to try hush-puppies for the first time, so that was pretty cool.

Overall, Lake Erie really blew me away, in a literal sense.

10/10 would camp again.
