Our final day in Kyoto, more temples and more climbing.

Ryōan-ji

A zen temple famous for it's rock gardens.

The interior of the temple was closed to visitors, as it seemed there was a wedding happening while we were there.

Arashiyama Park

An old growth bamboo forest

It was very crowded, so I tried to only take pictures of the upper part of the bamboo

Arashiyama Monkey Park

A monkey sanctuary on top of Arashiyama mountain. Of course, we had to climb to get there.

The monkey was getting bullied, so the handler was comforting it

On the way down from the Monkey park, there was a slide part of the way down the mountain. Of course I went down it. It was was of terrifyingly fast.

We returned to our hostel, and prepared to leave Kyoto, back to Himeji.
