I went to the Cleveland Orchestra performance of Mahler Symphony No.2 With Alena and Kate.

We took Martin Luther King Blvr to get there, which has some neat bridges

We found a possibly illegal place to park for free that was right next to the entrance, and then met Kate in the Severance lobby.

Severance is now the official location of the original Mahler Symphony No.2 manuscript, which they had on display with some touchscreen overlay that everyone was trying to figure out how to hide.

We made our way to our seats, which were right at the front.

The performance was phenomenal, and being so close we were able to hear a lot more details of how different passages were passed between different sections.

Also, I think this is the first time I have heard a pipe organ live, in a symphonic context.

After the finale, the applause went on for a long time, to the point that they had to come back out several times to do another bow.

One last show of the hall before we headed home
