In the morning, Alena and I were sharing our spider plant progress.

For breakfast, I had a tasty blueberry and cream cheese bagel.

Work mostly consisted of an ECC meeting in person. Beyond that, there wasn't really much that happened.

Later that evening, I got a call from Jackson, who happened to be in the area. He invited me to go on a walk, so we agreed to meet up at Mill Stream Run.

The drive there was super pretty, especially along the road to the Royalview Trailhead.

Once we arrived and actually found where the trail starts, we got under way.

Since this is technically a biking trail, we encountered a biker along the way, who was very polite as he passed us.

We took a side path that was a bit shorter, but ended up getting a little lost. It turns out this path was not actually marked on the map, and it dropped us off on the road.

We walked along the road a bit to rejoin the path, and decided to do the longer path anyway.

On the second leg of the trail, we encountered another biker, who turned out to be the same biker from before. Afterward we joked about it for a bit, imagining the same biker randomly showing up in other places, such as in your house, awkwardly passing you in the hallway.

The Mill Stream

While we walked, we talked about all sorts of things, such as our shared childhood of nature and games, though it was mostly the nature in my case.

I talked about the old stone bed stream in the woods around my house, and the times I would walk great distances barefoot in the stream.

We talked about the old media we used to consume, such as Arthur and Eragon. I told the story of my disasterous attempts to watch the Eragon movie in the theater, where it melted the first time. I had never really thought about it, but that is something that no one is ever going to experience in person again, and this led to a discussion about how different generations experience changes in technology.

After making plans to meet up and exhcnage computer hardware, we went out seperate ways.

The sunset was really pretty on the drive home. I tried to get a picture of it after I arrived, but I couldn't find a great view of it.
