We build another house in Rio Grande, OH.
We were invited to move to Gallia county by our good friends, the Owens family, who were doctors, musicians, and farmers. They had a large amount of land that they raised horses on, and we ended up purchasing a small plot from them to build our house.

The house was constructed from a pre-build foam and steel shell, which gave it excellent thermal properties. Also, the beam along the top was massive, and very very heavy.
It was nestled in the woods on top of a hill, with forest valleys all around, and numerous trails.
Mom also went crazy with gardens around the house. We even built a small pond, and populated it with feeder fish which grew to be quite large.
It was very popular with the frogs.

There was also a small attached greenhouse.

It was much smaller than our previous house, but also very cozy. My room was on the second floor, in an attic like area. Eventually, Dad built a loft in the upper part of the room for my bed. It was fun, but not very practical and got super hot during the summer.

Alena's room.
