Our second round of thanksgiving get togethers was in Columbus with the Merchants.

In the morning, I picked up Alena from her apartment in Wooster, and we headed to Columbus together. On the way down, I showed her The Wombats; a band I have been listening to recently,

We arrived at almost the same time as Mom, Dad, and Jessica, and after a minor runaway dog crisis, we settled down to catch up and pet the dog.

Once Linda arrived, they started getting the food together.

Lately, Grandpa Dean has been getting into drones, and while the others were preparing the food, he got out one of his toy indoor drones to show us.

The Dog absolutely hates it.

After saving the drone from the dog, we proceeded to food.

After we ate, we headed to the backyard to try out the bigger fancier drone.

Initial attempts were a bit rocky, as the drone needed to be re-calibrated, but after Linda came out and got things set up, we were off to the races.

I got to fly the drone myself, and impressed everyone with my gamer skills. Mark also took a turn.

After everyone that was brave enough to try the drone had a go at it, we headed back inside, and started getting ready for disperse.

Alena and I had completely forgotten that today was black Friday, which is historically not a great time to do in person shopping, but we decided to brave it anyway, at least to evaluate how bad it's going to be.

As it turns out, IKEA is one of the stores that does not do anything special for black Friday, and as such shopping there was easy breezy. I got my shelf, and we were on our way.

Alena offered to drive from Columbus to Wooster.
