Elva rented the party room at the apartment complex where they are staying for the first of our thanksgiving get togethers with the Michal side of the family.
I met mom and dad at their house to help them get some stuff ready, and exercise the dog. Alena and dad headed over first to confirm the availability of chairs, then mom and I drove over together.
When we arrived, grandma was having a meeting to talk about family history, and to discuss forming an LLC for the farmland, to allow managing it easier for the family in the future.
For awhile, a couple of us sat in the other room talking about work and such, and Russel offered to teach Alena how to program in C++, with the possibility of her someday getting a job working remote for the same company he works at.
After the meeting, Alena, Russel, Debby and I drove over to Grandma's apartment to retrieve the food that had been reheating in their oven. After we returned with the spoils, we began getting everything set up to eat.
After eating, we did some movie trivia. We didn't really try and follow any rules, and just went through questions, shouting out answers whenever we knew.
It was quote rowdy, but fun!
After cleaning up and dividing up the remaining food, we all went our separate ways, with many hugs.
I added Kyle as a discord friend so eventually we can get Alena and russel connected.
